“You don’t take a photograph, you make it” – Ansel Adams
I was born in Barcelona. After studying Chemistry for a few years I decided to leave college and go to the United States, where I discovered a love of photography.
When I returned to Spain, I studied photography at the Institute of Photographic Studies of Catalonia and worked as Assistant to a number of professional photographers. After a learning period I launched out on my own in the world of advertising. In 2007 I moved to Cozumel, a tropical island in the Mayan Riviera, because I felt the need for a creative renewal. I spent two years of discovery and enjoyment as a scuba instructor in the sub-marine world, during which I never gave up the art of photography. When I returned to Spain I continued to work in Advertising and started to get interested in fashion and portraiture, while maintaining a strong focus on my own projects.
In the time since I took a course at the New York Film Academy that focused on the moving image, which opened new doors to creative expression, and now split my time between personal projects and contract work.
I have worked for advertising agencies in Madrid and Barcelona including Bassat Ogilvy, Contrapunto, El Laboratorio, Euro RSCG, DDB, JWT, McCann Erickson, Publicis, SCPF, Tiempo BBDO, Villar Rosás, Young & Rubicam, and others, and photographed campaigns for Absolut Vodka, Adidas, Bacardi Limón, Campofrío, Click Air, Cover Your Bones, Glassex, Gobierno de España, Koroshi, Lanjarón, La Vaguada, Mercedes-Benz, Mi Cama, Movistar, Nissan X-Trail, Pinturas Bruguer, Telefónica, Violencia de género, and others. During that time I won several awards at the Cannes Advertising Festival, San Sebastian and FIAP.
